Machinery Operations-Processing Plant

ABOUT THE FACILITY

We operate a modern vegetable processing facility in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha, capable of intaking up to 16 metric tons of raw vegetables per day. The plant runs two product lines: fresh graded and washed vegetables, and processed/dehydrated vegetables (primarily powdering). The facility houses imported Chinese processing and packaging machinery across a grading and washing line and a dehydration and powder packaging line.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Machinery Operations Lead to take full ownership of all machinery across our vegetable processing plant. This person will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all equipment on the production floor, as well as leading and supervising the floor team to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient daily operations.

This is a floor leader role. You will be the go-to person for everything machinery-related — from

running the lines to troubleshooting faults, scheduling maintenance, and making sure the team is working correctly and safely at all times.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Operations

• Oversee and operate all machinery across the vegetable grading, washing, drying, cutting, dehydration, grinding, and packaging lines.
• Set up machines at the start of each shift, monitor performance throughout, and shut down properly at the end.
• Ensure all production targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and speed Coordinate with the processing team to manage raw material flow through the lines without bottlenecks.
• Monitor machine output quality and flag any issues that affect product consistency.

Maintenance

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on all machinery according to schedule.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and operational faults quickly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain service logs for every machine — recording faults, repairs, replacements, and scheduled maintenance.
• Manage spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests before stock runs out.
• Liaise with Chinese suppliers and local technicians for any specialized servicing or part replacements.

Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise a floor team of machine operators and helpers.
• Train new team members on safe and correct machine operation.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor attendance, and ensure the team is working productively and safely.
• Enforce safety protocols on the floor at all times — PPE usage, hygiene standards, and safe machinery handling.

Grading & Washing Line

Roller grading machine, sinking stone elevator, SUS elevator, picking/inspection conveyor, root

vegetable washing machine (soft brush roller), bubble washing machine, vibration dewatering

machine, air dryer, PVC conveyor belt

Vegetable Processing Line

Peeling and core-removing machine, blanching machine (electric heating), vacuum sugar soaking machine, 15P heat pump dryer

Fresh Vegetable Packaging

Half cutting machine, multifunctional vegetable cutter (CP301), wrapping machine, packing and

sealing machine, weighing and labeling machine, net bag packaging machine, belt right packing machines (nail and tape type)

Powder Line

Grinding machine (S30C), horizontal pre-made bag packing machine with 10-head weigher (LDSP-260), screw metering device, auger feeder, Z-type elevator

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Diploma engineer in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering — OR — a skilled mechanical/industrial technician with equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating or maintaining food processing, packaging, or industrial machinery
• Ability to read basic machine manuals and wiring diagrams
• Strong problem-solving mindset — able to diagnose a fault and get the line running again quickly
• Leadership experience — managed or guided a small team before
• Comfortable working in a production environment: shift hours, physical work, and strict hygiene standards

Good to have

• Prior experience in a food processing or agri-processing facility
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled or automated packaging equipment
